If ZipPerformer Was Based on 7-Zip, What is the Difference?


ZipPerformer provides the same compression capabilities that 7-Zip offers, but ZipPerformer's interface is easier to use. The user interface is more streamlined. It is similar to WinZip, but is completely free.


To get ZipPerformer, just click on the Download button and install ZipPerformer on your computer. Once installed, it is ready to zip - or unzip as the case may be. You can also use ZipPerformer in command line mode. Simply type "ZipPerformer -h" to get a list of available commands.


How to Uninstall ZipPerformer


You may want to uninstall ZipPerformer for a number of reasons, but if it is because you want to change your browser's homepage or for other reasons not associated with the ZipPerformer program itself, you can follow these instructions:


Changing Your Browser's Home Page:


Microsoft Internet Explorer 9: Open Internet Explorer. Type in the URL for the page you want to use as your home page. Click the tools button, then click "Internet Options." To set the current page as your home page, click "Use Current." To reset the home page back to the default home page, click "Use Default." If you want a blank page as your home page, click "Use Blank." Click "OK" when you are finished.


Microsoft Internet Explorer Web 7 and 8: Open Internet Explorer. Type in the URL for the page you want to set as your home page. Click the right arrow located to the right of the home button. Click "Add or Change Home Page." A dialog box will open. When the dialog box opens, choose one of the following options: To make the current page your home page, click "Use this web page as your only home page." Click "Yes" to save your changes.


Google Chrome: Click the "wrench" icon on the toolbar. Select "Options." If you are using a Mac, select "Preferences." If you are using a Chromebook, click "Settings." Click the Basics tab. Pick the page you want to be your home page in the section named "Home Page." To use a page not listed, select "Open this page," then type in the web address for the page you would like to use as your home page. Add the home button to the browser toolbar. To set your home page as your startup page, go to the "On Startup" section. Select "Open the Home Page."


Mozilla Firefox: Open the page you want to use as your home page. Grab the icon to the left of the web address and drag it to the home button. Release the mouse. Click "Yes" to set this as your home page. If you want a blank page as your home page, open a new tab and leave it blank. Drag the icon for the blank page over to the home button and release it. Click "Yes" to set the blank page as your home page.

If you still wish to remove ZipPerformer, close ZipPerformer. Click "Start > Control Panel." Double click on the "Add or Remove Programs" link. Locate the ZipPerformer name, then click on it once. Click "Uninstall." If you have Windows XP, click "Remove."
